So sorry I haven't written in a while, don't worry I haven't abandoned the blog just yet. It's just been very crazy with midterms and projects. But the whole point is to talk about fashion and so here are some of the projects I have been working on....enjoy!
This is my own interpretation of a Madeline Vionnet dress. It is made completely on bias.

Milan Fashion Week

The best part about going to fashion school in Italy is that you take academic trips to Milano for Fashion Week. All we could see were people walking down the street in 5 inch heels and looking oh so very trendy. Some people even spotted celebrities such as Miss Taylor Swift, Anna Wintour, and Diane Von Furstenburg. We had appointments back to back which almost felt like we were on America's Next Top Model trying to win the go-see challenge. We also went to a fabric mill where we actually saw designer fabrics and print fabrics being made. Some of which were Salvatore Ferragamo beach towels and Louis Vuitton print scarves. As always here are some pictures of the trip.

Cinque Terre:)

In the first few weeks of being in Italy, I took my first european trip to Cinque Terre. For those of you who don't know where that is, Cinque Terre is located on the north west coast of the Italian Riviera in the Liguria region of Italy. Cinque Terre is literally called, "The Five Lands" and is made up of five small towns: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The best part of course was that there is a small (actually pretty long) street called Via dell' Amore (The street of Love). It's this long street that couples walk along and according to history, Couples come to Via dell' amore with a lock, and they have to find the most romantic spot and lock it to symbolize their eternal love for each other. I know it's sappy but it's quite romantic and I'm a big fan of romance. Anywho here are pictures from Cinque Terre. Oh and for all you outdoor fanatics, You can also hike through all 5 towns to get to the Monterosso. (the last town to the beach and a beautiful scenery). a couple of my friends hiked and took about 4 hours but they said it was totally worth it. So as promised here are some lovely pictures.

It's only been a month and yet I have done so much so expect tons of pictures including: Milan fashion week, Florence night life, and Cinque Terre. More to come..here's a little preview.
